Ronald Parker, Director, has over 22 years of extensive experience leading all phases of diverse technology projects. He has experience managing the lifecycle of systems to include Systems Analysis, Systems Design, Application Lifecycle Management and expert-level Enterprise Architecture guidance for multiple Commercial, DoD and Intel customers. He is well versed in evaluating and delivering emerging technologies and enterprise-level systems with demonstrated leadership skills that result in increased productivity and efficiency while minimizing cost.

Mr. Parker has proven skills in directing bid and proposal, risk management, quality assurance, change management, and resource development activities in multi-level contractor/government environments. A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Parker served as a member of the Signal Corp stationed at the Pentagon. 

Mr. Parker holds a BS in Mathematics from Virginia Union University and an MS in Management Information Systems from Strayer University, in addition to PMP, MCSE and ITIL V.3 certifications. A proud father of four, Mr. Parker lives in Woodbridge, Virginia. As Founder and President of his local area soccer club, Mr. Parker spends his spare time coaching and providing opportunities for disadvantaged youth to train and compete at the highest levels.

As a Sergeant in the US Army, cybersecurity instructor, inventor, author, and consultant to the Federal Government, Donald Parker has dedicated his entire career of over 23 years to the Information Technology industry with a special focus on Information Security. Mr. Parker has taught CISSP and other cybersecurity classes all over the United States and abroad, including Holland, Germany, and Guam. He holds a US patent for a physical computer security device that he believes will provide the greatest defense to one of the greatest threats on the Internet, Bot Networks. He has authored a book on how to pass the CISSP exam and has published and audio version of the book as well. He has helped federal agencies and fortune 100 corporations comply with the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape. 

As an independent consultant and small business owner for the past 10 years, he successfully completed more than a dozen short to midterm contracts. The knowledge gained from more than 15 different public and private sector environments has afforded him a birds-eye view of this exciting new field of study. Many of Mr. Parker’s customers and students refer to him as a one-man band in the since that; he can identify the laws, regulations, requirements and policies that an organization must comply with and actually implement the security controls necessary to demonstrate compliance. Donald is also the coordinator of a group that meets online weekly to have fun and prepare for the CISSP exam by competing in games of CISSP Jeopardy. Through his podcasting, consulting and classroom instruction efforts, Donald’s ultimate goal is to stop hackers and advance the field of Information Security/Assurance.
